Alacrity's Estate Review Expert will have a few questions regarding the amount of items, location of the property, and your desired timeline and results.
Our first concern is always to guide you through the liquidation process, as smoothly as possible, while focusing on how to create the best case scenario for our potential clients and/or the Family. One of our Alacrity team members will have a few questions that will help us focus on what is most important to you.
When you call - we’ll want to know the general location of the home and a brief description of what will be for sale. We’ll also need to know more about the time frame in which you need to have the estate liquidated. From that information we can determine if Alacrity's services would fit the discussed liquidation needs and if our team is available. .
Free consultations - It’s necessary that we see the items you need to sell, the logistics of property, the setting, the quantity of items for sale, and what will be involved in organizing, displaying and marketing of the for sale estate items. At that time, we will share our services, pricing, policies, and procedures with you, as these are all clearly explained in our contract. There is absolutely no obligation or charge for this estate review and we never ask for any money up front.
Commission Structure - Alacrity typically operates on a commission basis which is assessed on an “estate value/labor investment ratio”. Our visit to the residence or sale location will tell us what that percentage will be. There are never any hidden fees or charges. Each client's house is different than the next and some houses require to set up or have an area of the home that will require a staff members individual attention, like a detached garage full of tools. Clients can also request services like trash removal, organizing or packing, and silver polishing. Alacrity also offers services outside of our normal scope like post-sale consolidation or cleaning. Your estate sale consultant can talk with you more about which services fit your needs best.
Personalized Services - Each estate sale property is different and we want to focus on what matters to you. Whether you have inherited an estate and are selling a house full of items or are moving and downsizing your personal property, Alacrity can customize most services to fit your specific liquidation needs. Alacrity can handle the complete processing of an estate home or come in after the family has had a chance to separate personal items that will not be for sale from the for sale items. During the consultation we will discuss different ways our sale processing experts can be helpful or how the client can minimize any additional charges by leaving the estate sale property in the most appropriate and optimal condition.
Availability - Often, our estate sale clients goals are time sensitive and need to be handled in a quick manor. We will always do our best to facilitate a fast response to your request set up a meeting that is consistent with your desired schedule. Alacrity typically books 1-3 months in advance. If you have a short notice estate sale need - we encourage you to call. We work with many local liquidation companies and occasionally there are clients with short notice cancelations. Our network of liquidation companies may be able to connect you with a company that does have immediate availability.
